COVID-19 IN LINCOLN, NEBRASKA: THE MAYOR’S VIEW.

Aanii all SFN community members,

This week is a podcast about a city in the US and how they were able to reach their vaccination goal so quickly – they are now in the top 10% for lowest death rate in the US.

Lincoln, Nebraska (USA) is a city of 300,000 people. In July 2021, they were able to reach the President’s goal of having a minimum of 70% vaccine uptake in their county. Due to proactive public health measures and successful vaccination campaigns, Lincoln is in the top 10% for the lowest death rates from COVID-19 in the United States.  Listen to the podcast from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Mayor of Lincoln for insight on how they were able to accomplish this goal in such a short period of time.
