FIRST NATIONS WELLNESS INITIATIVE: MITIGATING THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 – VIDEO 5

Good Afternoon Saugeen Members and Staff,

Please take the time to view the video in the link below. This is the fifth video in the Photovoice Series which was a collaboration between the Chippewas of Saugeen First Nation #29 (SFN) and the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH) and a part of the development of a Community Wellness Strategy for SFN and surrounding areas.

We are all affected in some way by issues with mental health, substance use or violence, and these are just a few of the personal stories that some of our brave community members have agreed to share.

We will continue to be sharing a video each week until the end of the series.

I hope these videos are shining a light on the issues our community faces from the perspective of those experiencing it. The intention is to not only look at this issue through a different lens, but to look at it, and realize this is a very complex issue, one in which we need to end the stigma and come together as a community to assist in the combat against addictions.
