OXENDEN INDIGENOUS ART PROJECT

A reminder of the Call for Proposals (attached to this email) to Indigenous artists to create a mural or a sculpture that honours the long Indigenous habitation and stewardship of this land, located in the Saugeen Ojibway Nation (SON), in a section that was once designated as Colpoys Bay Reserve, then surrendered in Treaty 93 (1861) and is now known as the village of Oxenden. We especially welcome artists from Neyaashiinigmiing, Saugeen First Nation, Beausoleil First Nation, or others with a direct connection to this territory. We welcome young and emerging artists as well as collaborative efforts and encourage provocative pieces. Please see the attached Call for Proposals, the project website or our Facebook page for more details about the project and requirements for submissions.
